SAY IT! on Ukrainian national television

The SAY IT! Project has reached an important milestone: our videos are now being broadcast on Ukrainian national television. Until the beginning of December 2026, they will air on Suspilne and 1+1 Marathon, bringing simple, practical knowledge about emotional support - straight into people’s homes.

In Ukraine today, the war has left not only physical wounds but also deep psychological ones. Many people have experienced loss, witnessed traumatic events or lived for years with constant anxiety and fear. Those close to them want to help, but often don’t know where to start. What do you say to a partner who has just come back from the front? How do you stay close to a friend still waiting for news of a missing loved one? How do you support someone who has survived captivity, without asking too much, too soon?

Each of five videos presents everyday situations and offers practical advice on how to talk to and support someone who has gone through a difficult life experience. On television, this professional guidance can now reach more people and homes across a country deeply affected by war, including communities with limited access to mental health services.

On the campaign's landing page, sayit.com.ua, viewers can also find information about further psychological support.

SAY IT! is a joint initiative of the Sweden-Ukraine Foundation (ISSU) and the National Psychological Association of Ukraine (NPA), supported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, which has recognized the campaign as a project of national interest. The national broadcast is a direct result of that partnership, and an important step toward making conversations about mental health a natural part of everyday life, during and after the war.

We sincerely thank Suspilne and 1+1 Marathon for giving SAY IT! airtime, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and our partners at the NPA for their trust, and the film production company What Took You So Long? for bringing the videos to life.
