Medical aid reaches the frontline in Ukraine

ISSU has delivered critical medical aid to frontline medics in Ukraine, strengthening their ability to carry out their lifesaving mission. For those working under constant pressure, this equipment is more than just a tool: it buys the precious minutes needed to stabilize the wounded defenders and prepare them for evacuation.

In the latest delivery, the 106th Territorial Defence Brigade in eastern Ukraine received SAM Junctional Tourniquets (Deluxe Pack), advanced medical devices designed to stop severe bleeding in places where standard tourniquets are ineffective.

Unlike conventional models, which can only be applied to arms and legs, SAM Junctional Tourniquets can be used on the torso and groin - injuries that are among the most difficult to treat in emergency conditions. By using them, medics secure the critical time needed to stabilize patients before they can be evacuated to higher levels of care.

🤝 This delivery was made possible thanks to contributions from donors, partners, and volunteers. You can help prepare the next one.

Delivery through trusted partners

To make this possible, ISSU partnered with Charitable Foundation “SYMMETRY”, a Ukrainian organization experienced in humanitarian logistics. Together, we ensured that the aid reached the brigade’s new stabilization point right on the front line. This direct delivery model guarantees that medical supplies end up where they are urgently needed.

Donations in action

The continued support of our donors, partners, and volunteers has equipped frontline medics with the tools they need to improve workflow, increase effectiveness, and carry out their mission with greater safety.

Yet the need is still urgent. Requests for essential supplies keep coming from the medics on the ground who treat the wounded risking their own lives. Every contribution, large or small, has a direct impact.
