PRESS RELEASE, ISSU achieved 90-konto certification

Insamlingsstiftelsen Sverige-Ukraina (ISSU) has officially achieved the 90-konto certification, a distinguished quality mark granted by Svensk Insamlingskontroll. This certification reinforces ISSU’s commitment to ethical and transparent fundraising practices, ensuring that donor contributions are managed responsibly and directed toward their intended purposes.

The 90-konto certification is a widely recognized seal of trust in Sweden’s nonprofit sector. It signifies that ISSU meets stringent financial and ethical standards, providing donors with confidence that their support is utilized effectively and with minimal administrative overhead.

“We have received fantastic support ever since we started and the hope is that a 90-konto will contribute to even more people wanting to get involved in our work,” said Maryana Stober, Chairman of ISSU.

Svensk Insamlingskontroll continuously monitors certified organizations, ensuring they adhere to strict operational guidelines and remain in compliance with best practices for responsible financial management. By obtaining this certification, ISSU reaffirms its role as a trustworthy nonprofit organization in Sweden, committed to upholding donor confidence and sustaining positive change.

ISSU extends its sincere gratitude to its supporters, donors, and partners who have made this achievement possible. “We are very happy to be able to open a 90-konto. For us, it is most important to be able to help the vulnerable in Ukraine, but we want to do it the right way. It is the first time that we are running a fundraising foundation and the rules surrounding the account help us to ensure proper financial management. In addition, it creates credibility for us as an organization and we hope that this will lead to more people getting involved in our activities, both private individuals and other organizations. We have no ambitions to run some kind of one-man show and are always looking for cooperation. With a 90-konto, we hope to open doors to new partnerships and collaborations. The goal is always to help as effectively as possible,” said Martin Stober, Founder and Board member of ISSU.
